Kidango Child Development Centers Go High Tech with 19 computers from IBM
Kidango has been awarded a grant of 19 Young Explorer computer units from IBM to be placed in Kidango centers to enhance the learning environment for each child. IBM has generously provided such computer units to Kidango in the past and has reiterated their commitment to introducing children to technology at a young age through this award to Kidango.
The Young Explorer computer units, along with donated KidSmart Early Learning software, will be used to create Computer Learning Areas at each center. The centers to receive the units currently do not have operating computers for the children and they are excited for this new addition to their classrooms. The Young Explorer units will be used at eight centers in San Jose, with the remaining being placed in centers around Alameda County. The computers will enhance the learning experience of approximately 1,311 children daily.
